The St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce and St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation began its first-ever Leadership St. Bernard Program in 2014.
Economic Development Administration Awards Federal Grant to St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation and Nunez Community College
The United Stated Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration recently awarded a $40,000 matching grant through the New Orleans Regional Planning Commission to support ongoing economic development initiatives in St. Bernard Parish which will have a New Orleans regional impact. The principal partners in this grant, the St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation (SBEDF) and the Nunez Community College Foundation Board, will each contribute a $20,000 match to the grant.
St. Bernard Parish Day at the Capitol Hailed as a Success
With the final adjournment of the Louisiana State Legislature on June 2, 2014, Leadership St. Bernard has reviewed and discussed the success of the St. Bernard Day at the Capitol. On May 12, 2014, St. Bernard Parish hosted the St. Bernard Parish Day at the Capitol in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
St. Bernard Organizations Participate in Idea Village Entrepreneur Week.
Each year from July- March, the Idea Village Entrepreneur Week Season offers education, consulting and capital access programs in support of startup growth oriented entities. The season culminates each year with New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW).
